Designing for The Back Door Bar and Lounge required balancing the classic elegance of a cigar lounge with the contemporary flair of Austin’s nightlife. We leaned into the black-and-gold palette to evoke a sense of luxury and exclusivity, while the flowing, overlapping script font added a touch of refinement. Imagery of dimly lit interiors, finely crafted cocktails, and cigar rituals emphasized the experience, while the branding elements were carefully placed to create a cohesive, upscale aesthetic that appeals to discerning patrons.

The business finally decided to move away from the cigar bar format, opting eventually to a standard bar/lounge. Ultimately, this meant going with another company’s design services. Nevertheless, this was a great job and wonderful people to work with.
